Provectus review

San Francisco AI systems integrator with more than 400 builders that takes machine learning and generative AI into production, mainly on AWS, for financial services and life sciences companies.

Reviewed October 2026

Our verdict

Provectus is an AI systems integrator headquartered in San Francisco, California, with engineering hubs in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Serbia and Poland (Provectus contact page). It started in 2010 with distributed data platforms and contributions to Apache Spark, Apache Kafka and Presto, moved into cloud work, mainly on AWS, and then into machine learning and AI (Provectus).

Enterprises use Provectus to build production machine learning, generative AI systems and the data platforms underneath them. The company reports more than 400 AI builders, more than 50 ML researchers and more than 100 customers in production, and it runs two industry practices, healthcare and life sciences, and financial services.

Its contract terms are the reason it stands out. Provectus says it signs milestone-based contracts in place of time-and-materials billing, staffs each engagement with a forward-deployed executive, a principal architect and forward-deployed engineers, and transfers full IP, code and architecture documents at the end of a program.

Best for

AWS-centric enterprises in financial services or life sciences that need production ML, GenAI and data platform work with full IP transfer.

Not ideal for

Companies standardized on Azure, or buyers looking for a short strategy engagement with no build.

What clients and leaders say

“I’m incredibly excited to work with Provectus. Words can’t describe how great I feel about handing over control of the technical side of business to Provectus.”

“We will build to your business, transfer every line of code and every architecture document, and measure against your definition of success.”

Drawbacks

  • Provectus describes itself as primarily an AWS firm, so buyers committed to Azure or Google Cloud will find less depth.
  • Only two industry practices are staffed with dedicated practitioners; companies outside financial services and life sciences get the general engineering team.
  • We found no independent client reviews; the quotes available come from Provectus and a co-written AWS blog post.
